The International Society for Computers and Their Applications (ISCA). The society's primary goal is to advance the field of computers as well as their applications and to disseminate such emerging technology throughout the technical community. ISCA has a unique charter in its purpose to focus on the applicability of the theory of computers. ISCA differs from many other professional societies in that, in addition to academic research, it emphasizes applications in its professional domains (conferences and journal). As such, the Society serves as a platform for the transfer of new computing concepts, innovative hardware designs, and interdisciplinary research to the community. Each year ISCA sponsors four conferences in a variety of technical areas. Each conference publishes proceedings. These conferences are: Computers and Their Applications (CATA), Intelligent Systems (IS), Parallel and Distributed Computing Systems (PDCS), and Computer Applications in Industry and Engineering (CAINE). Our technical publication, International Journal of Computers and Their Applications, provides fascinating articles ranging from new architectures for massively parallel computers to embedded distributed computers for planetary surface exploration. ISCA (International Society for Computers and Their Applications) is a not-for-profit society.
