Pocketable signal source provides RF test signals with features comparable to full-size analog GHz signal generators and can operate standalone
With output levels up to 10dBm, signals can be delivered in CW, sweeping, and hopping modes. The unit features a built-in pulse generator for creating pulse modulation. The built-in arbitrary function generator adds the ability to generate a wide range of modulation modes, such as: I&Q modulation, AM, PM, FM analog, FSK, ASK, PSK, MSK, GMSK, SFSK, as well as digital modulation schemes such as QPSK, 8PSK, QAM, and phase modulation types such as CDMA, TMDA, GSM and more. A reference clock input and output is provided.
Compact (4" x 1" x 1") and housed in a light (3oz) metal case, the signal output is provided via an N connector, while the I&Q connectors provide I&Q input and output. A pulse output is available at the rear of the unit for synchronization purposes or when using the device as pulse generator. Intuitive PC software is supplied which displays a simple desktop instrument front panel for adjustments and for setup.
