Teledyne DALSA will feature its CalibirTM series of uncooled LWIR cameras with an integrated mechanical shutter. Although the cameras will operate shutterless, the mechanical shutter can be used as needed to overcome specific challenging conditions. With their compact design and low weight, these cameras can be integrated into tight spaces for confined and low profile solutions. In addition, these new models feature a Precise Time Protocol (IEEE 1588) which allows exact synchronization of multiple cameras, in both the visible and IR spectrums. PTP makes it significantly easier to design networked camera solutions without the need for complex and specific trigger and synchronization hardware.
The Calibir series supports a variety of interfaces, lenses, image processing features, and hardware options that serve a wide range of uncooled LWIR imaging applications, including defense and security, UAV, surveillance, thermography and industrial vision. The series architecture lends itself easily to customization of cameras and cores, with options including Wafer-Level Packaged devices, smart embedded algorithms, and real-time fusion imaging.
